Ike was on his way to becoming one of the best heavy weights of all time when he was imprisoned in the US following charges that he tried to rape a woman in Las Vegas in July 1999. The former professional heavyweight boxer, who won the Dallas and Texas Golden Gloves tournaments in 1994, has been locked up for the past 13years. Below is a plea from his mother who posted the message on his website

Mother's request for intervension

My name is Patricia Ibeabuchi a registered nurse. I am the mother of a young man by the name Ike Ibeabuchi Both Ike and my self are originally from Nigeria in Africa- I have been in United States since 1990 and my son joined me here in 1993. I am writing this letter, in hopes that I might receive your assistance in some way regarding the situation with my son Ike that I am about to reveal to you in this letter.

My son Ike is ranked #2-3 as a heavyweight boxer. Ike started boxing in Nigeria at the approximate age of 18 and has continued this profession since coming to the United States. While over here he has been trained by Cutis Coke in this field to the point that he won City and State Golden Glove matches in Dallas Texas and has successfully won all 20 of his professional heavyweight fights. He is on record for having 16 knockouts and 4 unanimous winning decisions. Because of his obvious talent and performance, many managers and promoters were very interested in getting 11cc to sign contracts with them, but at this time Ike had a 3 year contract that has expired with Cedric Cushna Promotions. ike is trained to fight in the ring and has not never been involved in any street fights or used his talent and ability in any negative way. Ike is also a born again believer and has been raised in the fear of God. As his mother, and a preacher of God’s Word, I raised Ike and my other children to know what God’s word says and that we are to live our lives according to the Word of God.

When Ike began to show impressive undefeated in his boxing career and one of the world’s most promising heavyweights, a brother, Jack Web in our church, felt compelled to suggest that, because Ike’s father is still in Nigeria, that I quit my nursing job to stay by Ike’s side. He said because boxing has a reputation for being corrupt, manipulative and very shady in it’s dealings such as bribery, drugs and false accusations. It’s a pretty well known fact that a lot of the managers and promoters have been involved in these behaviors and have sometimes resorted to use some of these tactics in obtaining what they want.

In June 1999 their was Nigerian annual festival in New Jersey whereby the President of the Association invited Ike and the mayor of the city and alter the festival, Ike learnt there was a fight in Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon learning of this, Ike decided to fly to Las Vegas to watch the fight and speak with the representatives from HBO concerning his own boxing career.

At this time Cedric was hounding Ike to renew his contract with him, Ike informed Cedric that he needed to shop around to have better understanding what his worth is and if he matches it, that he will continue with him. Cedric was not happy about this because he knew that he had been under-paying Ike while other promoters and managers are highly interested in Ike due to his promising boxing career. Managers and promoters don’t want boxers to negotiate deals, they want to be the one to do all the negotiations so that their underhanded deals will not be known by any other than themselves. Because of these dealers and their methods, we had to leave Dallas Texas and moved to Arizona to seek refuge from them. Unfortunately, they followed us to this State and the nightmare continued. They tapped our phones, forced themselves inside our Gilbert home, they put chemicals in all of our food and drinks, and they will disengage our house alarm and enter our home at anytime of the day of night. The (Gilbert police have several records of our calls and reports concerning this matter. These promoters went so far as to fly and bring false charges against Ike in Gilbert and Scottsdale while he lives with me in the same house, by paying a couple of women to accuse him of attempted kidnapping and sexual assault. The police investigated these charges and threw them out because there was no basis for these charges against him. Since they did not achieve their aim here they followed him to Las Vegas and repeated the same charges which has kept Ike in jail for six and half years. This time in Las Vegas the charges are sexual assault, kidnapping and attempted to kill to intensify the charges against him this time.

At this time of false imprisonment, Ike has been forced medications, accused of mentally insane. and has not been given good attorney representation. Therefore, Ike has never really been tried or convicted of these false accusations or charges, but nevertheless, he has lost six and half years of his young life. The Las Vegas coat sent Ike to Reno mental hospital for evaluation, but before his arrival the staffs have been informed that Ike was dangerous, crazy and many other suggestions that made the staffs apprehensive to his arrival. Upon Ike’s arrival at the hospital, the staffs found that these statements were not even close to being truth rather they found Ike to be peaceable, respectful, loving and cooperative. When the Las Vegas court ordered to medicate Ike by Dr. Bittker who supposed to monitor the effect of the medication, he traveled out of the county and Dr. Henson started forcing medications on Ike, as a registered nurse I called Dr. Henson why he is medicating Ike, and if Ike was his son, as a license physician will he medicate him? since he is not mentally insane, he said that Las Vegas court asked him to, I asked him if court ask him to kill will he kill as a license physician? so I reported this to the Medical board in Nevada.

Finally Ike was intimidated, drugged out and with the effect of the drug dragged into the court to plead guilty by the Las Vegas public defender for alleged criminal offence he did not commit.

The judge knew about the drug Ike was given before court hearing because Ike told the judge that he was forced medication and he can’t reason properly but the judge ignored him. Today Ike, my son sits mercilessly in prison at the prime of his life, wasting! What did he do?

There was recent involvement of Honorable senator John McCain into the corruptions in the boxing business which supports what I am saying. In December 1999 Ike was kept in house arrest then Top Rank visited him to sign a promotional contract with Ike, Ike agreed but the terms both agreed upon was changed, well, he refused to signed Top Rank even promised to get him out and had already included his name in Delahoya’s fighting cart that year, if he had signed that cheating contract, but when It didn’t happen he was throne back to jail the next day. Since then different promoters and managers have promised to get him out if he agrees to sign contract with them. All these means that evil is behind this whole thing.

I am appealing to the public, Ike’s fans, relatives, friends and fellow country men and women, sisters and brothers in the Lord, qualified lawyers and human rights movement to please assist me in anyway possible to get my son released to live his life here in Arizona as a free young man. Feel free to check out any and all of my statements regarding this situation. I have many more actual details to share with you concerning all of this and would like an opportunity to do so. I feel as if we are abandoned, neglected and ignored abused and violated since our names and business (Missionary Home Health and Staffing Inc.) are known to every charity organization in United State for donations and supports. such as Veterans Of Foreign Wars Of The United States, Paralyzed Veterans Of America, Americans For Immigration Control, Inc.. National Police & Trooper Association, Metro Ministries In New York (kids that lost their parents during 9-11) Marilyn Hickey Ministries, Trinity Broadcasting Network, Operation Smile by Cindy McCain, American Red Cross in Washington, DC for Hurricane Katrina, Covenant House in NY.. Active supporter of Arizona State Fraternal Order Of Police and many more But Ike my son financed this business for the family and to help those in need, is going through this punishment, and no body is doing anything to stop this evil.

I have lived in United States since 1990 working as RN and filed my taxes, never received food stamps or disability finds, rather I have used my two hands God gave me to make my living, even have managed Missionary Home Health and Staffing Inc. from 2001 till date and have filed all the taxes as required. But I have filed for my Green card to become a resident here since it is due unto me, rather my papers keep on missing and one of the immigration lawyers said that, quote “This is internal, I can not deal with this” then he sent me to Senator McCain’s office for help. The immigration managed to call me for an interview never found anything illegal, or fault, still they are threatening to send me back to Africa. Who is behind this? those that thinks that I am on their way to my son Ike, kept on hiding my immigration file so that it could not be processed accordingly.

Furthermore, discrimination, hate, abuse and violation of human right that my son and I are facing in this country is wrong because we do not know what caused it how it started in this country we came to seek American dream and in our country, we treat every body with love and help when necessary.

In my country people go to jail when they committed serious crimes not accusations with no proof of evidence, or because of race, appearance, color or country of origin and career as in Ike’s case.

In July 1999, Ibeabuchi was staying at The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas when he phoned a local escort service and had a woman sent to his room.

The 21-year-old woman said she was there to strip and nothing else. She claimed he attacked her in the walk-in closet after she demanded to be paid up front.
"He invites her up to his room and begins to get physical with her," said Christopher Lalli, a Clark County chief deputy district attorney. It got loud enough that people in the adjoining room notified hotel security.
"When they enter the room," Lalli said, "a woman, naked from the waist down, is running toward them."
Ibeabuchi barricaded himself in the bathroom, and police discharged pepper spray under the door to coax his surrender. Ike's defense faced the further difficulty of the Clark County DA's reopening of a similar sexual assault allegation from eight months earlier that took place next door to The Mirage, at sister-property Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.

He was released on bail and placed on house arrest—able to train and fight again until his trial—but he was remanded after two more sexual-assault allegations surfaced in Arizona.
"The troubling thing for us was this was not an isolated incident," Lalli says.
Lalli says the case against Ike's crimes at The Mirage was solid. There was physical evidence, eyewitness testimony, a pattern of unacceptable behavior.

"It was evidence you don't have nine times out of 10 in these cases when you go to trial," Lalli said.
Ibeabuchi was deemed incompetent to stand trial and was sent to a state facility for the mentally ill. Medical experts concluded he exhibited bipolar disorder, and a judge granted permission to force-medicate him. Eight months later, 2½ years after his arrest, he was ruled cogent enough to plea.

He entered an Alford plea, conceding the prosecution had enough evidence to convict him while not admitting guilt. Had he gone to trial and been found guilty of rape, he could have received 10 years to life in prison, but instead he got two to 10 years for battery with intent to commit a crime and three to 20 years for attempted sexual assault, to be served consecutively.

Ibeabuchi was paroled on the first charge in 2001 and has been denied parole on the second charge three times. He was denied parole in August 2004, in August 2007, in February 2009 and on May 1, 2012. He is not eligible for another hearing until May 2013, at which time he will be 39. Ike also faces likely deportation.
"We felt confident he was going to spend a good chunk of time in prison and then get kicked out of the country," Lalli said.

Since his incarceration, Ike has earned two college degrees from Western Nevada Community College: an Associate of General Studies and an Associate of Applied Science in General Business

Transgender teen, Dwayne Jones, murdered by mob in Jamaica

Dwayne Jones was relentlessly teased in high school for being effeminate until he dropped out. His father not only kicked him out of the house at the age of 14 but also helped jeering neighbors push the youngster from the rough Jamaican slum where he grew up.

By age 16, the teenager was dead - beaten, stabbed, shot and run over by a car when he showed up at a street party dressed as a woman. His mistake: confiding to a friend that he was attending a "straight" party as a girl for the first time in his life.

"When I saw Dwayne's body, I started shaking and crying," said Khloe, one of three transgender friends who shared a derelict house with the teenager in the hills above the north coast city of Montego Bay. Like many transgender and gay people in Jamaica, Khloe wouldn't give a full name out of fear.

"It was horrible. It was so, so painful to see him like that."

Police spokesman Steve Brown said detectives working the case are struggling to overcome a chronic problem: a strong anti-informant culture that makes eyewitnesses to murders and other crimes too afraid or simply unwilling to come forward.

Even though some 300 people were at the dance party in the small riverside community of Irwin, police have yet to make a single arrest in Dwayne's murder. Police say witnesses have said they couldn't see the attackers' faces.


Dwayne was the center of attraction shortly after arriving in a taxi at 2am with his two 23-year-old housemates, Khloe and Keke. Dwayne's expert dance moves, long legs and high cheekbones quickly made him the one that all the guys were trying to get next to.

Like most Jamaican homosexuals, Dwayne was careful about confiding in others about his sexual orientation. But when he saw a girl he had known from church, he told her he was attending the party in drag.

Minutes later, according to Khloe and Keke, the girl's male friends gathered around Dwayne in the dimly-lit street asking: "Are you a woman or a man?" One man waved a lighter's flame near Dwayne's sneakers, asking whether a girl could have such big feet.

Then, his friends said, another man grabbed a lantern from an outdoor bar and walked over to Dwayne, shining the bright light over him from head to toe. "It's a man," he concluded, while the others hissed "batty boy" and other anti-gay epithets.

Khloe says she tried to steer him away from the crowd, whispering in Dwayne's ear: "Walk with me, walk with me." But Dwayne pulled away, loudly insisting to partygoers that he was a girl. When someone behind him snapped his bra strap, the teen panicked and raced down the street.
But he couldn't run fast enough to escape the mob.

The teenager was viciously assaulted and apparently half-conscious for some two hours before another sustained attack finished him off, according to Khloe, who was also beaten and nearly raped. She hid in a nearby church and then the surrounding woods, unable to call for help because she didn't have her cellphone.

Dwayne's father in the Montego Bay slum of North Gully didn't want to talk about his son's life or death. The teen's family wouldn't even claim the body, according to Dwayne's friends.

They remembered him as a spirited boy with a contagious laugh who dreamt of becoming a performer like Lady Gaga. He was also a street-smart hustler who resorted to sleeping in the bushes or on beaches when he became homeless. He won a local dancing competition during his time on the streets and was affectionately nicknamed "Gully Queen."
"He was the youngest of us but he was a diva," Khloe said. "He was always very feisty and joking around."
Inside their squatter house, Khloe and Keke said, they still talk to their dead friend.

"I'll be cooking in the kitchen and I'll say, 'Dwayne, you hungry?' or something like that," said Keke while sitting on the old mattress in her bedroom, flinching as neighborhood dogs barked outside. "We just miss him all the time. Sometimes I think I see him."

But down the hall, Dwayne's room is empty except for pink window curtains decorated with roses, his favorite flower.

International advocacy groups often portray this Caribbean island as the most hostile country in the Western Hemisphere for gay and transgender people. After two prominent gay rights activists were murdered, a researcher with the U.S.-based Human Rights Watch in 2006 called the environment in Jamaica for such groups "the worst any of us has ever seen."

Local activists have since disputed that label, but still say homophobia is pervasive. Dwayne's horrific July 22 murder has made headlines in newspapers on the island and stirred calls in some quarters for doing more to protect Jamaica's gay community, especially those who live on the streets and resort to sex work.

Advocates say much of the homophobia is fueled by a nearly 150-year-old anti-sodomy law that bans anal sex as well as by dancehall reggae performers who flaunt anti-gay themes. The island's main gay rights group estimated that two homosexual men were killed for their sexual orientation last year, and 36 were the victims of mob violence.

For years, Jamaica's gay community has lived so far underground that their parties and church services were held in secret locations. Many gays have stuck to a "don't ask, don't tell" policy of keeping their sexual orientation hidden to avoid scrutiny or protect loved ones.

"Judging by comments made on social media, most Jamaicans think Dwayne Jones brought his death on himself for wearing a dress and dancing in a society that has made it abundantly clear that homosexuals are neither to be seen nor heard," said Annie Paul, a blogger and publications officer at Jamaica's campus of the University of the West Indies.

Some say the hostility partly stems from the legacy of slavery when black men were sometimes sodomized as punishment or humiliation. Some historians believe that practice carried over into a general dread of homosexuality.

But in recent years, emboldened young people such as Dwayne have helped bring the island's gay and transgender community out of the shadows. A small group of gay runaways now rowdily congregates on the streets of Kingston's financial district.

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller's government has also vowed to put the anti-sodomy law to a "conscience vote" in Parliament, and she said during her 2011 campaign that only merit would decide who got a Cabinet position in her government. By contrast, former Prime Minister Bruce Golding said in 2008 that he would never allow homosexuals in his Cabinet.

Dane Lewis, executive director of the Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, All-Sexuals & Gays, said there were increasing "pockets of tolerance" on the island.

"We can say that we are becoming more tolerant. And thankfully that's because of people like Dwayne who have helped push the envelope," said Lewis, one of the few Jamaican gays who will publicly disclose his full name.

Yet rights groups still complain of the slow pace of the investigation into Jones' murder, despite the justice minister calling for a full probe.

Real Life 'Tarzans' Missing For 40 Years Found Living In The Jungle

The story you're about to read can only be compared to disney's story of Mowgli(Jungle book) or Tarzan. A man and his son who went missing 40 years ago in Vietnam were recently found living in the jungle. How did they survive for so long, away from people you might ask? Read their interesting story below:

40 years ago, during the Vietnam War, Ho Van Thanh was seen running into the woods with his then-infant son Ho Van Lang. They hadn’t been seen since, until a few days ago when two villagers accidentally stumbled upon their bamboo hut deep in the forests of Vietnam’s Quang Ngai province.
No one imagined Ho Van Tranh could have survived for 40 years, after he disappeared into the jungle in 1973. A bomb exploded in his home during the war with the United States, killing his wife and two other children, and eye-witnesses reported seeing him grab his two-year-old sun Ho Van Lang and running into the forest.
But just a few days ago, the impossible happened. Two villagers from the Tay Tra district who had ventured 40 kilometers into the lush jungle looking for firewood noticed a strange bird-nest-like hut built in a small clearing, near a stream. Curious about its origin they decided to investigate and found two men living inside. The weak 82-year-old man could communicate in the in the Cor ethnic minority language, but his 41-year-old son, who was wearing a loin cloth made from tree bark, only spoke a few words. The villagers alerted the authorities who later confirmed the two mysterious jungle dwellers were indeed Ho Van Tranh and Ho Van Lang.

According to Thanh Nien News, Ho Van Tri, Tranh’s youngest son, who was left behind on that fateful day in 1973 and rescued by relatives, first found his father and brother 20 years ago, but he couldn’t persuade them to come home. He brought them salt and oil every year after that, but they never accepted him, and whenever he came with other villagers to convince them to come home, they ran into hiding. Their daily diet included  cassava, corn, and wild leaves, but the villagers also found a one hectare field planted with sugar cane, near their six-meter high wooden hut. The two real-life Tarzans also made their own knives, axes and arrows for hunting.

They wore loincloths made out of tree bark, and lived in a timber hut raised five metres above the ground.

Ho Van Thanh and his son have been taken to the Tra  Kem Village, where his other son is taking care of them. However, Tranh’s nephew, Ho Ven Bien, told the local press they are very sad and clearly want to go back to their forest home. ”My uncle doesn’t understand much of what is said to him, and he doesn’t want to eat or even drink water. We know he wants to escape my house to go back to the forest, so we have to keep an eye on him now,” Bien said. The two men have had very little contact with the outside world during the last 40 years, and they’ve both forgotten the mainstream Kinh language. Efforts will now be made to slowly reintegrate them in society.

He said while still in the group, he killed many Christians when he reigned as second-in-command to a terrorist group that wages war against non-Muslims in northern Nigeria. The group, Shitte, is a Boko Haram franchise. “Our own group is called Shitte but we have the same agenda with the Boko Haram sect. You people have only been hearing of Boko Haram, but there are other deadly Islamic groups who are also part of Boko Haram sect,” he said, adding: “Whenever we heard that any of the sects was fighting Christians, we always joined the.”

He was speaking to a gathering of Christians recently of his activities as a member of the terror group. He also told of how he renounced what he called “the cult” where he drank his victims’ blood so their ghosts would not appear to him in dreams.

This is Isiaku’s testimony as he told it himself. We have slightly edited it, so as to preserve its narrative purity. WOLE BALOGUN was there:

“I joined the Bafarawa Arabic Islamic Centre in 2010 and they were teaching us Arabic language. Every year, we take about 20 people to Iran for special training because our zonal headquarters is in Iran. Our own group is called Shitte but we have the same agenda with the Boko Haram sect. You people have only been hearing of Boko Haram, but there are other deadly Islamic groups that are also part of Boko Haram sect. I can count up to six of them that I’m very much aware of. Whenever we heard that any of the sects was fighting Christians, we always joined them. My own group has been an Islamic movement for a long time, even before I was born. It reigned in the north during the Abacha military regime and it has many branches in the north. We are in major northern states such as Kastina, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kano, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Zaria among others.

Sometimes, when we want to wreak havoc on Christians, we hire our own bus because we have our own weapons, which we use against the Christians. We usually join the Boko Haram sect whenever they wanted to fight the Christians or the soldiers because we usually hear that soldiers kill our Boko Haram brothers in Maiduguri, Yobe and Potiskum.

I used to be one of the most trusted hands in the group because I was a very obedient and loyal follower. I had my own secret office where I received delegates from our sponsors whenever our leader wasn’t around and where I attend to the needs of any of our members.

This is why I didn’t participate in many of our attacks against the Christians or the soldiers because I used to take care of the home front. Our leaders usually psyched us up, they brainwashed us to fight against Christians because they are enemies of Allah. They taught us that the more Christians we were able to kill, the more our chances of entering Alijonan (heaven).

Many of our trainings hold in the night, around 10pm. There is a bush around the school where we usually go for trainings.

Some aspects of the training we receive are not ordinary; we used to drink what one could call spiritual water because it is not ordinary water. We also used to receive strange visitors who were not equally ordinary humans. We receive the visitors in a strange way, our leaders used to summon them: they used to instruct us to recite some passages in the Quran and whenever we do that, the visitors would appear to us during those unholy hours.  They could come in three or four.  They appeared like humans but they are not humans. We know they are not humans. They usually fortify us with charms for the task before us. They used to instruct us to be strong and fight.

Our leaders also used to render a lot of assistance to support our cause. They bring a lot of money in a pick up van and asked us to use the money to buy guns. Many of our supplies come from the zonal headquarters and sometimes, there is a popular Bayelsa man who is, though a Christian, supporting our cause in cash and kind. I can’t remember his name now. The Bayelsa man gave us money and also supplied us with weapons for the mission.

I am the second in command in my camp in our group, and whenever our president travels to the headquarters in Iran, I used to coordinate the group and receive our sponsors on his behalf. This is why I am able to sit with the sponsors and know what happens.

We had vowed to first kill all Christians in Kaduna before dealing with others in the north. Whenever we take the spiritual water, we become more daring to do any evil. It makes us more dangerous and if we were annoyed at such moment, we could kill. The water also fortifies us against gunshots. When we have taken it, bullets will not harm us. Also, we get mystery ring from our leaders. About eight of us were selected for the ring, and that ring provides almost anything we asked from it. It is like a personal power for us.

I can’t recall the number of people I have killed. I don’t use gun most times. We usually use guns to shoot people on the leg.  If we ask a victim: “Will you become a Muslim or not? And he or she refuses, we slaughter the victim like a goat. And after killing the victim, we collect his or her blood in a very small cup and then drink it. After drinking the blood, the victim’s ghost could not hunt us in dreams. That is what our leaders told us. And indeed, once we taste the blood of people we kill, we will not see them in our dreams.

Sometimes, when we don’t feel like drinking the blood from the cup, we used our fingers to touch the victim’s blood and taste it. It will still prevent ghost of victim from hunting us in dreams.

We used to kill Christians because we believe that by killing them, we will enter heaven at death. Our leaders used a Quranic passage that seems to support our action (Recites some Quranic lines). In interpretation, the passage says: “O you believers, you should not be friendly with your enemies.” ‘Believers’ here means we, the Muslims and ‘enemies’ are the Christians.

The leaders of our group and the sponsors are many. Our sponsors are wealthy Nigerians. They are in government, and many are past Nigerian leaders. If I mention their names, you would think I am just telling lies. We have governors, senators who sponsor us heavily. Our sponsors are many (Names mentioned are withheld). You wouldn’t believe some of them are really part of us. We usually invite them to the graduation of the students in the school. That is when many know them as part of us.

We have days we go to town to preach and win more members. On such days, we add a red cap to our white T-Shirt and trousers. On another occasion when we put on black caps, it means we won’t fight.

We have infiltrated the Nigerian forces. We have our members in the police and army. Those members help us a lot whenever we want to fight.

However, we are very secretive, my blood brother who was not a member didn’t know I was part of the sect. I kept my association with the sect secret from people close to me who don’t share our views about Christians. My father loved me very well.

Right from the time we attended Chachangi School, a lower school in my place, our Islamic instructors had been drumming it into our ears that we should tighten our belts to fight the Christians. They instructed us to always be armed, either with knife or gun. They even told us to have our own gun and get license for it.

My own area in Kaduna is Torumada, it is a haven for many Islamic terrorists in Nigeria. Before I joined the Shiite school, I took part in several fights in which we massacred many Christians. The Christians in Sokoto are most vulnerable to attacks from our people because they are just within our reach, but they have also been very lucky because a major Islamic cleric in the state is always pleading that we shouldn’t touch them.

We actually found out many places in Sokoto where Christians are living. One of them is Ota Road, but in order to respect our Islamic cleric, we haven’t touched them.

Boko Haram has their men trained in Afganistan. I don’t know if you have been hearing about the Taliban, those who sacrifice their lives through suicide bombing. The Talibans are the ones who are training Boko Haram men. I know Boko Haram usually have about 60 men who go for training in Afganistan. They train them on how to go on suicide bombing, make their own bombs and fight and do other dangerous things. They also provide them with sophisticated weapons such as bombs and all that.

Since I gave my life to Christ, I have been getting several attacks from the cult. There was a Thursday evening in Sokoto, I was supposed to go to vigil with a roommate named brother Matthew. He asked me to go with him but I declined, saying I was tired. When it was well into the night, I suddenly heard a loud, disturbing knock on the door. The voice that called out to me resembled that of brother Matthew. It said that I should open the door. The man actually spoke in Hausa, asking me to open up for him, but something pulled me back. My heart pounded and I suddenly realized it could be an impostor coming to attack me. But then, I couldn’t pray, all I could only mutter was Holy Ghost fire! I said this repeatedly till the stranger disappeared. And then I heard the barking of a dog from somewhere in the neighourhood.

Eventually, when the real Matthew came from church and asked for the door to be opened, I became hysterical with him. I demanded his explanations for the earlier visit but he said it wasn’t him. Initially I didn’t believe him. It took the explanation of another brother who confirmed that he was actually in the church all through the night for me to let things be. I could have killed him.

Before the attack, I had been keeping indoors. I couldn’t go out just anyhow because I knew members of the group would be looking for me.

So, after that incident, my pastor decided to take me to his village, away from the area where everyone knew me.

It is only God that can stop the war Boko Haram and other Islamic religious sects have started against the Christians in Nigeria. I thank God that I am out and now a Christian. The frank advice I can offer to all Christians is that they should start securing their own weapons, tighten their belts and prepare for war. The terrorist sects are prepared for war already. I am just looking at all Christians in Nigeria as dead people because of the level of preparations the sects have made.

It was on March 6, that I had a strange encounter that turned me into a completely different person. We usually go for our preaching on Fridays and Saturdays. I had just returned from one of such outings in Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto State, it was around 3pm. I was about to start taking ablution for the evening prayers when it happened. A man in pure, resplendent white attire just appeared to me. And once I saw him I was scared and dropped the small keg of water and ran off to my office. My people were asking me and I told them that I saw a man in white but they said they didn’t see anybody and even when I went back to the spot where I had seen the man, he was no longer there.

Then that night when I slept, the strange man in white came to me again. He was holding a stick and then I was frightened and I shouted and woke up with a start. My people rushed to me and said I was having a nightmare. Our leader said that the man in white must be an evil one. They took me to a powerful Mallam in Gombe who did some prayers for me to ward off the evil man in white. After the prayers, the Mallam assured me that nothing would happen to me and I returned to our base. But then when I slept again the following night, the same man in white appeared to me again and this time, he spoke to me. He said: “God has chosen you”. He said that three times and I again woke up with a start and that again alarmed my people. But when they asked what happened to me, I lied to them that there was nothing.

When it was morning, I took my bathe and deliberately went to see a barber friend who is a Christian. After he had finished cutting my hair, I opened up to him. I told him about my encounter with the strange old man in white and he said that the man must be God reaching out to me. I asked him why God would want to reach out to me. He then asked me if I was ready to give my life to Christ and serve God and immediately I said yes. I was even surprised at the way I simply took it.

Since I started fellowshipping with the church, I have become a different being. The experience was like I had a thorough bathe, which washed off all impurities like diseases and all that. Before the experience, I used to walk around like one afflicted with insanity, but now, I am more relaxed and composed. I now take time to take care of myself and even have inner peace. I used to live on drugs but now, I don’t take drugs any longer. I feel healthy.

It is not easy to quite the brotherhood because we undergo terrible and diabolic initiation process that hardened us. It is only by God’s touch that anyone one could renounce the group. When I was still there a certain high profile member of the Boko Haram sect, named Shuaib, renounced the group. I was part of many others who personally swore that we would ensure that we skin Shuaib alive if we see him anywhere.

But I want to tell my colleagues who are still in it to have a change of heart. I now realize that killing Christians would not take me to heaven; instead, it will take me to hell. And I’m ready to live a good life as a Christian.”

Some guy is claiming he's the father of Kourtney Kardashian's son

In early 2009, Kourtney and Scott Disick called time on their relationship after dating for three years. In the time they were separated, Kourtney met hot model, Michael Girgenti, (pictured above) on the set of a photo shoot and according to the guy, they had unprotected sex. This was in March 2009. By December 2009, Kourtney gave birth to a son.

Michael said he tried contacting Kourtney after seeing a photo of Mason and believes he's the biological father of the boy who is now 3 and a half years old. 

According to TMZ, the model has filed papers at a Los Angeles court asking a judge to order DNA tests for Kourtney, Mason and Scott Disick. He's also asking for joint custody of the boy.
