Watermelon: The New SéX Drug For Men

Men hoping for some fireworks in their love life this Fourth of July may want to skip the burgers and beer at the barbecue and eat plenty of…instead.

It turns out, watermelon may be a natural Viagra, says a researcher. That’s because the popular summer fruit is richer than experts believed in an amino acid called citrulline, which relaxes and dilates blood vessels much like Viagra and other drugs meant to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).
Until recently, many scientists thought most of the citrulline was in the watermelon rind. But now, experts have discovered that there is more citrulline in the edible part than previously believed.
Why does this work?
The amino acid citrulline is converted into the amino acid arginine. This is a precursor for nitric oxide, and the nitric oxide, a blood vessel relaxer that enhances circulation to all your vital parts.
How much watermelon should you eat?
A typical 4-ounce serving of watermelon (about 10 watermelon balls) has about 150 milligrams of citrulline.

Linda Ikeji And M-Kaze Fight Over Money On BBM [SEE PINGS]

As a Social Media Marketer, I come across several clients who need to get Nigerian blogs, and news sites to review their products and services, which I never hesitate to direct them to eiher Nairaland or Bella Naija as the most effective websites for getting the highest click-through rates, and most honest comments.

Some clients prefer to get on gossip sites like Naij.com or Linda Ikeji Blog despite my reservations and reasons. Naij was recently made themselves popular for using Russian hackers to redirect Etisalat subscribers to their homepage at some point, and Linda Ikeji is known amongst bloggers for her horde of hired hands, using multiple identities, and devices to post dozens of comments and spark irrelevant arguments, not forgetting her vicious fabrications euphemised as idle gossip.
A Port Harcourt based artiste, M-Kaze, recently consulted with Bar Baric Entertainment for promotional services, for which among several bloggers and micro-bloggers, his label chose Linda Ikeji.
Read more after the cut:

All the bloggers sent invoices and were pre-paid. By 9:41am on the next day, Tuesday, 18th June, 2013, Linda Ikeji was paid N50,000 (Fifty Thousand Naira) in line with her quotation, which indicated that the AD would be posted in 48 hours.

Aside from the fact that Linda Ikeji Blog could not accept a brief from which they were supposed to write their own unique story, but requested a full pre-written press release, things really started getting awry when by Thursday evening, the client called to complain that their AD had not been posted.

All avenues were employed in getting in touch with Linda Ikeji, and her staff, yet to no avail. Eventually, she was sighted on Twitter tweeting links from her blog, and a tweet was sent to her demanding the AD be set up immediately. Instantly, we received a call promising that the press release on M-Kaze would be posted "first thing tomorrow morning" (Friday).

On Saturday, at noon, another call was placed to the Linda Ikeji team, after the advertorial had not showed up the entire morning. They claimed they were having difficulties posting the link to M-Kaze's video. Knowing quite well that the same link had been posted by more than 15 other blogs, yet eager to avoid debates which would further delay the promotion, the root URL to the video was provided within the hour. Still, same link was still being requested over, and over again, via various channels, till 5pm on Sunday. At that point, we had to specifically request that the AD was not posted on a Sunday, since Sundays had the least internet activity. They agreed, claiming we'd see our advert on Monday.

All this while, I was dealing with tens of calls of lamentations, and threats of contract termination from my clients, most of the calls I made to the Linda Ikeji contact number were either cut off, or unanswered. When eventually, I would contact them via text or Twitter with a strongly worded message, they'd give me a very brief call, claiming they've been driving, and making more promises for "first thing tomorrow morning" again.  I began to visualize Linda Ikeji and her staff akin to Dangote truck drivers.

By Monday night, everyone had become fed up with the routine of the Linda Ikeji "first thing tomorrow" antic. The AMA Sound CEO who had never called me directly, did so at this time, requesting that the article be withdrawn and our payment be refunded. A text message was sent again to Linda Ikeji after which her which a call was put through to us for consolation, but after hearing that we were inconsolable, they agreed to make the refund, again, "first thing tomorrow morning". They even sent us a text message urging us to collect the money physically, like though we could just walk into our computer, unto Linda Ikeji's blogspot.

Even though there was no refund made to our account first thing in the morning of Tuesday 25th, 2013, as usual, the surprise however, was that no payment was made at all, even by 4pm. This time around, a call to Linda Ikeji was not taken lightly, as the receiver of the call made it clear she was not the person, Linda Ikeji, but the Business Manager of the blog, and that she had better things to do than repaying our money. Going ahead to use several expletives in referring to us.

Wednesday, still no refund, yet an additional feature now was a claim that our N50,000 had been refunded.

On Thursday, 27th June, I had made clear that this incidence of Advance Fee Fraud would be first reported to GTBank, then the EFCC, and finally, the Police. Several threats and insults were hurled from the Linda Ikeji camp.

Linda Ikeji herself who had come in direct contact with the client, AMA Sound, and made a claim that no money was ever paid into her account regarding their promo. Instantly, she effected the transfer (5:04pm, Thursday, 27th June, 2013).

The primary purpose of publishing this incidence is primarily to make a call to all upcoming artistes and entrepreneurs who have fallen for this Linda Ikeji Promo Fraud to come forward. Obviously, threats have been made to them but with the necessary courage, they will be recompensed. Secondly, I want to make it absolutely clear to everyone who may be mutual acquaintances to myself and the culprit, that for making me lose such a valuable client, for which I'm suing herself, and her entire establishment for breach of contract, and seeking punitive damages against Linda Ikeji, and the Linda Ikeji Blog.

Tales Of Prostítution, Drugs From Kuramo Village

Kuramo village fell to ocean fury and the rage of the Lagos State government last week. But tales of prostítution and drug peddling which defined its exixtence have come to the fore, as insiders recount, reports SAMUEL AWOYINFA

Kuramo Beach, to its residents, is escapism of some sorts. Besides its regular occupants, prostítutes and drug peddlers see the place as haven for their operations. It was like an island on its own.
For those who wanted to ‘feel high’ on illicit drug, Kuramo also gave them that illusion of being on top of their world. Kuramo offered unending music, blaring from speakers of numerous drinking joints that lined the ocean front.
But the music stopped early hours of Saturday, August 18, around 3:00am, when ocean surge, entombed a large section of the shanties and cabins. It was not only the shanties and cabins that fell casualties, about 16 persons were also swept away by the ocean rage.
By Sunday, the picture became clearer, as government agents moved in, and demolished the remaining shanties. As a result, the residents have scattered. But some of them still wished it were a bad dream that would soon go away. They were seen on Wednesday still hanging around the Kuramo Beach extension.
Some of them lived there for over 10 years, and for those in this category, it is difficult, having another place to call a home. One of them, who pleaded anonymity, said Kuramo though offered them a shelter; it also played host to a lot other negative indulgences.
According to him, over 50 per cent of the inhabitants were prostítutes and they were the main attraction, given the number of men who trooped in, mostly at night.
He said, “The prostítutes are the main attraction in Kuramo village. They were there in all shapes and sizes. From 8:00pm, men would start arriving. Some after gulping some bottles of alcoholic drink, would face the commercial s*x workers.
“Besides prostítution, drug also came handy here. Whatever it was you wanted. Is it marijuana or crack (cocaine)? They were available. A pinch sold for N250, a wrapper of marijuana is N50. Again, there was another form of marijuana, which a wrap sold for N200. That one was the concentrated type.
“And for those who wanted to enhance their s*xual performance, there were those who sold the local aphrodisiac called Bura ntasi.”
This source who spoke fluent English, said the prostítutes who lived inside the cabins, where they paid between N800 -N1000 daily, depending on the size of the room, were however, conscious of being infected with HIV/AIDS, as they insisted their clients must put on condoms. But he however, added that they had perfected some tricks, in which they swindled some unsuspecting clients.
The source said,“These prostítutes had agents, and the agents normally lurked around. As soon as any man entered the room with any of them, he would be asked to hang his trousers by the window. As soon as the client got carried away by the s*xual ecstasy, the agent stealthily picked the trousers from outside, and emptied the money and valuables therein.
“Many patrons of prostítutes here had lost their valuables in that manner”. According to him, the prostítutes charged between N500 -N1000, and all depending on negotiation skills of the client.
“Kuramo ran on 24 hours basis, it hadly went to sleep.”
One of the former inhabitants, Mr. Samuel Adebayo could not be bothered about s*x hawkers and their antics.
His concern was where he would start his tailoring business again. Having lived in Kuramo for over 10 years, and being thrown out under three hours, had left him puzzled for now. He was among those seen at the Bar Beach sea front, about 100 metres from Kuramo, on Wednesday.
He denounced the claim of the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure that they were given four days notice.
“I had lived in Kuramo Beach for over 10 years, it was not true that there was any notice. It was on Sunday (August 19) morning that the DPO of Bar Beach police station led his men to this place and told everyone to come out.
“We were given only two hours to pack our belongings. How many things could one pack in two hours? So, some of us only took a fraction of what we have, before the caterpillar moved in,” he said.
He recollected that there were about 110 cabins, and they paid for everything there. “There was no water, no toilets and no bathrooms. We bought water at the rate of N50 per bucket. To bath, one would pay N100, and to use the toilet, it attracted N100.”
On his own part, Mr. Laja Obasi, who said he was a security man at Kuramo, also said he lived there for almost 11 years, and he was almost regretting it.
Obasi who explained that he earned N3,000 per week, stressed that his fear was how to get another job.
Himself and his colleagues were for now, living at the mercy of friends and passers-by. He moaned, “I’m still fit to work as security man, but who can employ me?” He suffers a limp in one of his legs.”
Another former resident, who simply preferred to be addressed as Prince, said he was a tourism promoter at the beach front, and all that had gone with the wind. Dressed in a jeans trousers and ash-coloured sweater, he said he was in the business of making those who visited the beach comfortable, providing them good drinks and accommodation.
As at Wednesday, Prince was still in a quandary about the way forward. “I really want to retrace my steps by going back to God in a seven-day prayer and fasting,” he began. “After that, I will now decide what next to do. I have two options -either to raise money for my young wife to start business, because I had been the one shouldering the family’s burden or buy a car which I will be using to do kabukabu.”
The commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure, Mr. Olusegun Oniru, who visited the site on Monday reiterated that a four-day warning was given to traders and residents. He said, “It is not that we waited for this disaster to happen before we started acting. We gave them a four-day warning of the looming ocean surge and high waves but they wouldn’t listen. It is rather unfortunate that they waited for nature to force them out.”
Oniru added that the state government was faced with an Herculean task, because some of the residents, had no place to go. Some have constructed some shanties, directly in waterfront at the Bar Beach, and inside and outside where they kept their wares and personal effects.
Besides, some traders who were equally dislodged displayed their wares inside their buses and cars.
While most of the residents and traders ruled out compensation of any kind, some of them were still bogged down by uncertainty of their future.

Rihanna Boils Hot, Fires Back At Writers Who Called Her 'Toxic Pop Princess'

Foul-mouthed attack: Rihanna posted a fury-filled tweet in response to an article in which Daily Mail journalist Liz Jones called her a 'toxic pop princess'Foul-mouthed attack: Rihanna posted a fury-filled tweet in response to an article in which Daily Mail journalist Liz Jones called her a 'toxic pop princess'
Left: Toxic Pop Princess herself-Rihanna, Right: Daily Mail writer Liz Jones,
Few days ago, a Daily Mail Liz Jones wrote a very interesting article titled 'Toxic Pop Princess', complete with pictures and desciptions to elaborate her point . The article which is a critic of Rihanna's lifestyle of drugs, alcohol and sex  insists that the 25 year old Bajan is a BAD role model for young girls.
As expected, the singer responded to the article, insisting that Liz Jones criticism of her as a role model was entirely unfounded, because she has never aimed to set an example for young children. She also hurled insults at the British writer, posting a very unpalatable pic of her of instagram and twitter together with her reaction to the article. The article is a must read. See it, and Rihanna's response after the cut.

The first time I met Rihanna, the pop princess was seated next to Vogue editor Anna Wintour wearing a demure dress, with her hair in ringlets, for all the world as though she was Shirley Temple.
She sipped at her flute of champagne throughout dinner and clearly had one thing in mind: appearing on the cover of American Vogue (she got it, too, in November last year) and possibly a high-end fashion advertising campaign of the kind Ms Wintour can facilitate.
The second encounter I had with her was during London Fashion Week last February.
Rihanna came down the catwalk at the end of the presentation of her first collection for teen label River Island, for which she was reportedly paid £800,000.
She looked pretty. She wasn’t exposing any under-boob. She certainly wasn’t pretending to ram a jewelled microphone into her nether regions, as she has been doing on stage of late.
Her teenage female fans queued around the block that night to catch a glimpse of their idol, who has sold more than 100 million records around the world.

Her collection — while undoubtedly racy enough to raise a few parental eyebrows, with hot pants and crop tops — just about erred on the side of decency.
Yet those same parents will have been horrified by the pictures which emerged this week of the 25-year-old Barbadian-born star. Photographed with two giant, phallic spliffs in her red-lipsticked mouth, Rihanna posted the picture on Twitter for her 30 million followers to enjoy.
Most of these ‘followers’, of course, are young girls. Those same girls, some as young as eight or nine, have been packing out her concerts at Twickenham this month, as part of her sell-out UK tour.
They writhe and pout along to her suggestive lyrics in a disturbing mimicry of adult sexuality.

(Pictures of Rihanna’s dance moves were too explicit to print in a family newspaper.)
Of course, these little girls don’t realise there is anything wrong with what they are doing — they just want to copy the chart-topping star — who this year became the first singer ever to have had ten No.1 singles in the U.S. Billboard Chart. But if only she could be a better role model for young women.
I don’t care if she has the voice of an angel and is self-made, feisty and confident.
All these qualities pale to nothing when we know she went back to her abusive boyfriend, Chris Brown, who pleaded guilty to assaulting her in 2009; that she promotes drug-taking, drinking and the sort of fashion sense on stage that surely invites rape at worst, disrespect at least.

Is it fair that we berate female stars for being bad, when we don’t admonish men in the same way? Yes, it is fair. Because young women are far more impressionable than young men.
They want to be Rihanna, have her lifestyle, her clothes, her men, her habits.
I wish she’d stop infecting our High Streets with her gun tattoos, her false nails and fake hair, her bogus bad-ass shenanigans that try to portray her as ‘real’, as ‘street’, as her own person, as strong and single-minded.
While Rihanna knows when to tone it down in order to pull in advertising deals and keep her record label sweet — so much so that she has enough dollar bills to use them as a carpet, and so many diamonds she can pretend to smoke them in a spliff, both things she’s been pictured doing — the message she’s sending to her young fans, through her explicit lyrics, vile dance moves and pictures on Twitter, is utterly toxic.
This poisonous pop princess should come with a government health warning.

Rihanna Reacts...

Rihanna posted Liz Jones pic, left above and said:
"LOL!!!! My money got a bad habit of pissing people off!! If you sincerely wanna help little girls more than their own parents do, here's a toxic tip: don't be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter! What's all this about hair and nails and costumes and tattoos?? ....That shit ain't clever!!! That shit ain't journalism! That's a sad sloppy menopausal mess!!! Nobody over here acts like they're perfect! I don't pretend that I'm like you, i just live... My life!! And I don't know why y'all still act so surprised by any of it!! "Role Model" is not a position or title that I have ever campaigned for, so chill wit dat! I got my own fucked up shit to work on, I'll never portray that as perfect, but for right now it's ME!! Call it what ya want!! Toxic was cute, Poisonous Pop Princess had a nice ring to it, just a lil wordy! And P.S. my first American Vogue cover was in 2011...APRIL!!! #ElizabethAnnJones"
While I'm of the view that celebrities should decently speak their minds and defend their intergrity when necessary, it is ridiculous for Rihanna to hide behind the flimsy excuse of: "I never asked to be a role model".
Whether she likes it or not, Rihanna is a role model, and has an implied sense of responsible(which she now denies) to the eight million people follow her on Instagram, 30 mil on Twitter, and many more.
Even here in Nigeria, I know a number of girls who try very hard to emulate Riri in every way possible.
So seriously, the excuse "I never asked to be a role model" is ridiculous to say the least. She might as well say, I never want to be successful.
